Festival of 1,000 lights - romance in winter

Every year on 5 January, it is time for the special festival of lights in the heart of Kufstein. From 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm, the lower town square and old town shine in the glow of candles and torches as the building facades are atmospherically illuminated. Even after Christmas, the fortress town is an oasis of cosiness and romance.
