Time travel - a virtual scavenger hunt

From 3 July to the end of October 2020, you have the option of experiencing many contemporary historical events in and around Kufstein online. Designed as a virtual scavenger hunt, anyone can take part in the competition and win great prizes. The project takes place within the framework of “Kufstein writes its history” and is implemented by students of the FH Kufstein Tirol.

During the voyage of discovery, various topics relating to the narrative cafés organised as part of the project last year will be revisited. With the support of contemporary witnesses and the Kufstein local history association, interesting stories about important places in Kufstein such as the old Kaiserlift, the Inntalcenter, the railway station, Kufstein fortress or the Inn River bridge will be made accessible in audio-visual form.

The aim is to pass the stories of previous generations on to the younger generation and thus make sure that they are not forgotten. One of the highlights of this virtual scavenger hunt is an integrated competition in which prizes such as Kufstein ducats and smaller non-cash prizes can be won.

The project is managed by Richard Schwarz, coordinator of “Kufstein writes its history” and is sponsored by the Sparkasse Kufstein. The project was also supported by Robert Kathrein (FH Kufstein Tirol), the Kufstein local history association and the contemporary witnesses.
